Notice To All Swimming Pool Applicants
Effective October 1, 2007, all swimming pool projects shall provide a soil compaction test report for all backfill around the pool and under the slab or paver decking surrounding the pool. This soil compaction report should be provided by a licensed third party engineering company and must be received in the office and posted to the permit prior to the scheduling of the pool deck inspection. Proper equipotential bonding must be provided for any pool decking and should be in place prior to the soil test.
In addition, effective October 1, 2007, the required field inspection by the Engineering department, inspection code 899 must have a positive result posted to the permit before we will conduct a Pool Final inspection.

Notice: This Department has reduced service staff available from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. daily. County Administrative policy requires staff to take their assigned lunch break as scheduled.Due to the large numbers of applications, there will be a limit of 10 permits accepted per day for any one applicant/company. The Building Official is available by appointment or by referral from staff. Please conduct your initial consultation with staff. |
