Contains
95 acres of forested wetlands and hardwood hammock bordering
the south prong of the St. Sebastian River. This area protects
and buffers the St. Sebastian River from residential development,
protects water quality and preserves the river's scenic corridor.
A public access area was built in 2001 with parking, 2 pavilions
and a canoe launch. The public access facilities are open from
8am until sunset, daily.
The public can canoe the South Prong of the St. Sebastian River
starting at the canoe launch and meander through the lazy-like
river. Join the manatees and wading birds for a beautiful trip
along the quiet waters of the South Prong. |
