General Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction, repair, alteration, remodeling, addition to, subtraction from, improvement, and demolition of any building or structure including related improvements to real estate excluding electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and liquefied petroleum gas work related thereto.

Building Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction of commercial buildings, single- and multiple-unit residential dwellings, and accessory-use structures, all of which shall not exceed three stories in height. Does not include any electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or liquefied petroleum gas work.

Residential Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of construction, remodeling, repair, and improvement of single or multiple residential dwelling units as defined by the building code.

Carpentry
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of light and heavy carpentry, rough framing, trusses, sheathing, metal framing, paneling, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, stairs, and incidental hardware.

Finish Carpentry
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of finish carpentry construction, materials, and methods, including trim installation.

Concrete
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of concrete work, including formwork, placement of steel reinforcement, batching, mixing, delivery, placing, finishing, and curing.

Drywall
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of installation of gypsum drywall products to wood and metal studs, wood and steel joists, and metal runners, including the preparation of the surface over which the drywall product is to be applied, and the placement of metal studs, runners, and all necessary trim.

Drywall and Plaster
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of installation of drywall and plaster products to wood and metal studs, wood and steel joists, and metal runners, including the preparation of the surface over which the products are to be applied, and the placement of metal studs, runners, and all necessary trim.

Glazing
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the selection, cutting, assemblage, and installation of all makes and kinds of glass and glasswork, including mirrors and tub and shower enclosures.

Masonry
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the selection, cutting, and laying of brick, stone, and masonry products. This includes structural glass brick or block, insulated concrete units, and the placement of reinforcing steel, including concrete forming and placing incorporated into the masonry work.

Masonry/Concrete
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of selecting, cutting and laying of brick and concrete block or any other unit masonry products, lay brick and other baked clay products, rough cut and dress stone, artificial stone and pre-cast block, structural glass brick or block and insulated concrete wall units including the placement of reinforcing steel and concrete forming and placing incorporated into the masonry work and to pour, place and finish concrete flatwork (floors, sidewalks, etc.) including placement of mesh reinforcement, vapor barriers and edge forms.

Sign Installation - Non Electrical
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of installation, repair, and modification of non-electric signs.

Painting and Decorating
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of painting and the application of both paper and fabric coverings to residential, commercial, and industrial facilities, and all other superstructures, including surface preparation and related repairs to already installed surfaces.

Exterior Surface Coating
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the application of a mixture of sand or other aggregates, or portland cement, and water, and similar exterior finishing systems.

Roofing
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation, repair, and replacement of roof coverings, including roof deck insulation, roof coating, painting, covering, use of sheet metal products incidental to roofing work or other related material, and installation of nonstructural decking and siding.

Limited Roofing
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation, repair, and replacement of steep roof coverings, including the fabrication and installation of sheet metal incidental to steep coverings, and installation of shingles, shakes, roll roofing materials, tile, slate, and other prefabricated shingle products.

Structural Steel Erection
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the erection of structural steel shapes and plates, including such minor field fabrication as may be necessary, of any profile, perimeter, or cross-section, that are or may be used as structural members for buildings and structures, including related metal decking, siding, joists, riveting, welding, and rigging.

Tile
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of setting any and all makes and kinds of tile and marble.

Tile and Terrazzo
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of setting tile, marble, and terrazzo.

Building Maintenance
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the performance of maintenance and repair of existing buildings and structures, including the application or installation of drywall, plaster, wood, and paint. Exam does not include mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or roofing components.

Remodeling
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of residential building remodeling, including foundations, framing, trusses, sheathing, paneling, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and stairs. Does not include electrical or plumbing installation or repair. Does not allow foundation installation of repair.

Fencing
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of fencing installation.

Garage Door Installer
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of garage door installation.

Hurricane Protection
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the fabrication, repair, maintenance, installation, and attachment of exterior opening protection assemblies, including hurricane shutter assemblies and similar products.

Paving
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction of roads, airport runways and aprons, parking lots, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, property line walls, patios and driveways, storm drainage facilities, and the performance of related excavating and grading.

Unlimited Swimming Pool
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction, service, and repair of all types and kinds of residential and commercial swimming pools. Includes excavation and grading, construction, appurtenances, and installation of all equipment. Does not include direct connections to a sanitary sewer system or to potable water lines, nor the grounding and bonding of metal surfaces, nor the making of any electrical connections.

Residential Swimming Pool
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction, service, and repair of residential swimming pools. Includes excavation and grading, construction, appurtenances, and installation of all equipment. Does not include direct connections to a sanitary sewer system or to potable water lines, nor the grounding and bonding of metal surfaces, nor the making of any electrical connections.

Swimming Pool Maintenance
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of service, maintenance, and treatment of water in all swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs. Includes equipment, pumps, filters, chemical feeders, and minor repairs to pool masonry, patching cracks, and repainting and resurfacing pool walls and bottoms.

Demolition
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of demolition and removal of structures and buildings.

Aluminum Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the fabrication, installation, repair, alteration, and extension of aluminum structures, including screen rooms with solid or screen roofs, metal siding, soffits, gutters, and awnings.

Aluminum Siding
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of work directly related to the installation of aluminum siding, soffit, fascia, and gutters. This work includes installation of insulation behind the siding and repair of the substrate incidental to the siding installation.

Marine Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the construction of seawalls, bulkheads, docks, piers, wharfs, piles, and other marine structures.

Excavating
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the excavation and removal of materials, such as rock, gravel, and sand to construct or excavate canals, lakes, and levees, including the clearing of land of surface debris and vegetation, the grubbing of roots, the removal of debris, and leveling of related surfaces.

Underground Construction
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation, maintenance, repair, alteration, and extension of underground utilities.

Limited Painting
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of painting and decorating, including spray application and pressure washing. Does not include sandblasting or application of plural component roof materials, waterproofing, or damp-proofing.

Reinforcing Steel
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation of reinforcing bar and wire mesh in preparation for placement of concrete materials.

Interlocking Paver
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of interlocking paver units including material selection, site preparation, subbases, bases, installation methods and concrete work related to the paver system.

Siding, Windows and Doors
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of siding, window and door installation including vinyl, wood or aluminum siding, soffit, fascia, gutters and all types of windows and doors. This includes the work necessary to prepare or repair the substrate to accomplish proper installation. Does not include any structural alterations.

Metal Buildings
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the erection of single story metal buildings including sitework, concrete, masonry, siding, roofing, windows and doors. Does not include any electrical, plumbing, gas or HVAC.

Aluminum Construction With Limited Concrete
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the fabrication, installation, repair, alteration and extension of aluminum structures, including screen rooms with solid or screen roofs, metal siding, soffits, gutters and awnings with limited concrete work incidental to these structures, for footings and slabs.

Dredging
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic dredging methods, equipment, sediment disposal and marine safety.

Gunite
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of preparing, forming, mixing and applying concrete to various surfaces by hydraulic or pneumatic methods.

Piles, Piers and Foundations
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation of piers and foundations using concrete, rebar and other materials common to the industry. Includes pile driving, excavation, forming and other techniques and equipment.

Landscaping
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation and maintenance of decorative vegetation and irrigation systems.

Unlimited Insulation
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of insulation installation, repair, maintenance and extension to control the gain or loss of heat from all sources in buildings, rooms, pipes, vessels, ducts, process equipment, refrigerated rooms and boxes. This includes installation, repair, maintenance and extension of acoustical insulation.

Limited Insulation
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of insulation installation, repair, maintenance and extension to control the gain or loss of heat from all sources in buildings.

Acoustical Ceilings
Scope- Tests a candidate's knowledge of the installation, repair, alteration or extension of any acoustical or suspended acoustical ceiling.
